2000-01 Delaware Demons
- Point Guards: J. Stockton, 4 others; Stockton is
one of the best PG in the game, his reputation and numbers prove it.
Stockton has 705 assists with only 179 turnovers. Defensively, he ranks
right up there with the best. The rest of the PG would be backups on any
team. None are worth mentioning except that the combined shooting percentage
of all 4 of them is .400 Please Stockton, don't retire! Rating:
7.5/10.0
- Shooting Guards: H. Eisley, V. Lenard; Eisley is a
very dependable player with above average defense. But for a shooting guard,
he doesn't shoot that much. Lenard is a minutes man. He will be only there
for minutes. The Demons do have flexibility at this position and can play 4
other players here if need be. And they made need to. Rating 4.0/10.0
- Small Forwards: V. Carter, S. Anderson; Mr. Carter
if you please. What can be said about the new millennium version of Dominque
and Michael. Give this man the ball and watch. He doesn't play defense like
Mike, but he can create like Mike. Anderson shouldn't see too much time
here, but when Anderson does play, he can hold his own. Rating 7.5/10.0
- Power Forwards: A. Walker, D. Marshall; Does
anyone want to know how to stop Carter? Put Walker on the same team
and watch them fight for the ball. Walker will probably get his shots via
rebounds. Walker is a fine compliment to Stockton and Carter. Marshall is
named only because he has the most minutes other than Walker at this
position. If Marshall sees the court, there should be an
investigation Rating 7.0/10.0
- Centers: R. LaFrentz, R. Nesterovic; Lesser known,
centers, that may be prone to banging centers. This team is relatively small
and with LaFrentz the only person to crack 7' it shows. There is average
shooting here with better than average defense. This is another position
where flexibility comes into play. Rating
5.5/10.0
- Bench: This is another expansion team who did will
with backups. Flexibility gives Rich allot of options. Shooting percentage
is nothing to shout about. Rating
7.5/10.0
- Management: Rich is a first time owner to the
GLBA. He seems to know the game very well. Just like all new owners, it will
take sometime to get used to the way the GLBA works. In time, I believe Rich
will be an excellent owner. He is on-line very frequently and is aware of
the news surrounding his team. He has drafted a fine nucleus of
players. Will Rich be able to coach his team to a playoff position? Rating:
8.0/10.0
- Total rating: 47.0/70.0
- Predicted Record and Finish: 40-32, 2nd Place
