2000-01 Fantasy Hobokes
- Point Guards: D. Wesley, S. Nash; Wesley has a
heart of a lion, but he isn't very thrilling as a PG. He may score more
points then a ideal PG but he has an amazingly low 463 assist for 2760
minutes. Nash is a sold sub, but that's it. Rating:
5.0/10.0
- Shooting Guards: B. Sura, J. Starks; Sura is
an average SG at best. With 332 attempts from the 3 point line, he lets the
other 4 players worry about defense. Maybe one of the biggest questions on
this team is, "When will Starks fake an injury so he can go to another
team?" If Starks sees any playing time there should be an
investigation. Maybe he should go back to bagging groceries? Maybe there he
can place groceries in a bag better than 37% of the time. Fantasy has a
total of 6 players that can play SG, but none of them are very good. Rating 3.0/10.0
- Small Forwards: M. Finley 4 others; Can Finley
play PG? Can Finley play SG? With a league leading 3464 minutes, Finley is
the most durable player in the GLBA. His numbers are that of a leader. If
there was a problem with Finley, its the fact he can only play SF. Fantasy
has some very capable subs that may find playing team in other positions.
Rating 8.0/10.0
- Power Forwards: D. Coleman, D. Davis; Some strong
boys here. You don't want to go to a bar and find these guys drinking with
your dates. Coleman has surprisingly good stats but doesn't play defense as
much as he intimidates. D in defense stands for Davis. Oh yeah, and he
shoots .502 from the floor. Rating
7.5/10.0
- Centers: D. Mutombo, who cares; When
you have Mount Mutombo, do you really need anybody else. Awesome stats and
even better defense. An eye popping 269 blocks and a scary 18 on
intimidation will win some ball games. If for some reason Mutombo comes down
with Malaria, Coleman, Davis and Howard can pick up the slack. Not bad.. Rating
8.5/10.0
- Bench: Justin has allot of options, but they are
not very good. He is solid in the front court, but the back court may cost
him some games. He has a slight chance of running out of minutes in the
front court. Rating 5.0/10.0
- Management: Justin is a new GLBA owner. His first
draft can be characterized as average at best. The second draft he got some
important additions that may help his team compete this year. Justin is
almost on-line more then the commish, and that's hard to imagine. He has
been waiting for this time for over a year and he leaves no doubt that he
will be very successful. Welcome aboard. Rating:
