2000-01 Tatooine Twin Suns
- Point Guards: Hardaway, Fisher: Injury prone and awful shooting is the only way to describe these two. Hardaway shoots .386 and Fisher shoots .346, by far the worst PG's in the league shooting wise. Enter in the fact that combined they don't have 600 assists leads to believe it will be a long year if Tatooine has to play either one of these guys extended minutes. If this was a football team, Fisher could play just defense, but its not, so Tatooine will have to find someone else to get the ball across half court. Maybe 6'10 Odom?
Rating: 4.0/10.0
- Shooting Guards: Kittles, Hawkins, Hughes: Low shooting percentage again and Kittles and Hawkins are injury prone. Look for Hughes to shine in this group. Hughes could be hampered by a .400 shooting percentage. All three of them have good defense, but will they stay healthy to make a contribution?
Rating 6.5/10.0
- Small Forwards: Hill, Robinson, Odom, Szczerbiak: All four get mentioned here because they are so good. Hill had his typical franchise player numbers, Robinson is still the
awesome scorer, Odom is just about ready to join Hill as a franchise player and
Szczerbiak has become a reliable shooter. Odom and Szczerbiak has to work on there defense to help this team. Odom will rebound but look for him to help out the PG's. Hill, Odom and Robinson can also play PF if their services is needed there as well. Very
possibly, this is the best collection of SF's in the GLBA. Rating 9.0/10.0
- Power Forwards: Camby, 4 others. Camby is the only player on this team with more than 11 minutes at the PF position. Camby has excellent numbers but is also hampered by injuries. One of the four horseman at SF will have to play here for this team to be competitive.
Rating 5.5/10.0
- Centers: A. Mourning, M. Geiger: Mourning is as solid a C as any center in the league. There will be nights Mourning will carry this team to victory. Geiger is a solid backup but because of injuries, his minutes and numbers are down. The only other backup is Camby and he may be too busy playing PF or heeling his injuries as well.
Rating 8.5/10.0
- Bench: This is a top heavy team at SF. They have weak PG's and no real PF or backup center. The only way this team can repeat their championship season, is if Rob manages this team night in and night out. I expect Rob to make the appropriate changes to get this team back into the Finals. Right now.....yuck!
Rating 5.5/10.0
- Management: The fact that everyone knows Rob is a clear indication how good of an owner he is. Whether you love him or hate him, one thing remains true. He knows how to win and he knows the game of basketball. He communicates with everyone, probably more than most owners like, and lets his feelings be known to everyone. He is an original owner that is
partially responsible for what the GLBA stands for today. We know how good Rob is as a GM/Owner, this year will decide how good he is as a manager.
