2000-01 Tinley Meats
- Point Guards: D, Armstrong, C. Childs: Armstrong is an
excellent PG but does tend to shoot too much. Childs is the backup but
Tinley doesn't lose anything in defense. This is the only 1-2 combination
that has 6 out of 6 in defense..
Rating: 7.0/10.0
- Shooting Guards: R. Miller, C. Mobley: Is Reggie time
ending? He is still a scoring machine but now relies on others to get his
shot, while Reggie is celebrating every made shot, he is letting to other
players score on him. That's were Mobley comes in. We Reggie is done patting
himself on the back and needs a rest, Mobley will surprise people with a
little defense. There is very little difference in score as well.
Rating 7.0/10.0
- Small Forwards: G. Lynch, B. Outlaw: These are some
rebounding SF. Maybe the best combination in the league. Lynch shoots pretty
well, but its Outlaw who is amazing from the floor at (.602) The goal
is to hack him quick and often. With Outlaw only shooting (.506) from the
free throw line, defending him is real easy. Outlaw brings defense to a new
level and may stop some other SF in the league. Rating 7.0/10.0
- Power Forwards: K. Garnett, C. Webber: The heart and soul of
this team is here. Garnett is a franchise player just getting better.
Garnett can also play SF if needed. He is the number 1 option on this team.
Webber is the number 2 option on this team and is a fine complement but he
can always play C as well. Both play excellent defense. Rating
9.5/10.0
- Centers: H. Olajuwon, A. Foyle: Hakeem is long in the tooth
and his minutes reflect that. Foyle is an excellent replacement here but
with 1654 minutes, he will get some help from Webber and rookie sensation
O'Neal. The future looks bright when Olajuwon decides to hang'em up. Rating
7.0/10.0
- Bench: This team is as deep as any. They are 3
deep in every position and their subs are very young and have great potential.
Maybe the best defensive team in the league Rating 7.0/10.0
- Management: Ed is an original owner of the GLBA
and he has slowly brought his team to this level. He doesn't make many
trades and he relies on the draft to complement his strong starters. This
may be the year of the Meats. Manager Profiles are not where they could be,
but with success comes more participation with Ed. He hides his knowledge of
basketball very well. He knows how to play in simulations like the GLBA.
With 3 expansion owners in his division, expect Ed to clean up. Rating:
7.0/10.0
